GNU Video Vortex workshop
facilitated by Jaromil and MrGoil
Two days workshop on free and open source software for video compression and online streaming, debating on the technical horizons of online-TV and hacking on GNU/GPL applications as FreeJ, Icecast and FFmpeg.
As a follow-up to the Piksel festival in Norway, we will also explore new and updated projects presented there.
As an outcome of this workshop we hope to provide participants with both generic and specific knowledge about various FLOSS systems that, combined together in various possible ways, can satisfy audio/visual setups for transmission, re-encoding and interaction over the net.
