Dyne:bolic Hardware Compatability Page

I have tested dyne:bolic 1.1.1 on the following hardware:

Computers

Dell Dimension L500cx	Perfect, except for Armagetron which, on five out of 8 "identical" machines, locks the computer solid, leaving a pink pastel random-pixel flashing random image on the screen, and mplayer crashing out.
Compaq Deskpro 2000/5200MMX	Perfect, except that mplayer crashes out.
Compaq Deskpro 2000/5233MMX	Perfect, except that mplayer crashes out.
Gateway 2000	1.0 & 1.1.1 are said to be OK!
Sony Vaio	1.0 and 1.1.1 are said to be OK!

Intel Pentium MMX 200 MHz [Compaq Deskpro 2000/5200MMX]	Yes, but mplayer and pcimodules crash out with illegal instruction.
Intel Pentium MMX 233 MHz [Compaq Deskpro 2000/5233MMX]	Yes, but mplayer and pcimodules crash out with illegal instruction.
Intel Celeron (Mendocino) 500 MHz [Dell Dimension L500cx]	Yes, but mplayer crashes out with illegal instruction.
AMD-K6(tm) 3D processor 400 MHz and 500 MHz	Yes, but mplayer and pcimodules crash out with illegal instruction.

S3 Trio 64V+ SPIDER BIOS		PCI	Yes but: 1) Image is offset 1cm to the left and has 1cm black border at bottom. 2) Splash screen tab edges have white and black guy ropes & moving the splash screen right leaves a white blob on the screen at tab left bottom.
S3 Trio 64V+ Diamond Multimedia		PCI	As above. Armagetron gives black screen but doesn't crash the computer.
S3 Trio 32	86C732-P	PCI	As above.
Tseng Labs ET6000 (BIOS V1.4)	ET6000	PCI	Yes! (FB)

Note: Creative Labs Soundblasters:

The non-PnP boards need to have the jumpers set to io=0x220, irq=5, dma=1, dma16=5 and you need to say "modprobe sb" explicitly to enable them.
