Dyne:bolic Hardware Compatability Page

I have tested dyne:bolic 1.1.1 on the following hardware, and here's how it fared...

Note: the PCI cards that worked after modprobe may not have been auto-detected because pcimodules dumps core on my test computer

Computers

Dell Dimension L500cx

Perfect, except for Armagetron which, on five out of 8 "identical" machines, locks the computer solid, leaving a pink pastel random-pixel flashing random image on the screen, and mplayer crashing out.

Compaq Deskpro 5150 (150 MHz Pentium non-MMX)	No. The system doesn't seem to boot off CDROMs.
Compaq Deskpro 2000/5200MMX	Perfect, except that mplayer crashes out.
Compaq Deskpro 2000/5233MMX	Perfect, except that mplayer crashes out.
Gateway 2000	1.0 & 1.1.1 are said to be OK!
Sony Vaio	1.0 and 1.1.1 are said to be OK!
Dell Latitude CPx H500GT	text mode yes, X no (see ATI Rage Mobility below)
HP pavilion ze5400	Yes, but limited to 800x600 (not fullscreen), can't see pen drive.
Dell Inspiron 8600	(w/ Radeon 9600) Yes, but limited to 800x600 and some windows don't fit on scree due to wide aspect ratio, no audo.
Dell latitude 700mhz	(No problem fantastic !) with ati 16...
IBM Netfinity 3500 m10 Dual 500mhz	(No problem fantastic !) with S3 Savage 2000 AGP Video...
HP pavilion ze4500	Almost Yes, but troubles with ACPI. At the boot prompt, try acpi=no
Dell latitude C600 850mhz	Yes works fine and works with Cisco LM 340 card bus wireless card
IBM ThinkPad T30	Works just fine for me. No suspend/hibernation powersave mode, but who cares.
