• pxe client boot. like ClusterKnoppix does.

• rdesktop, vnc, nx, etc. like dls.nexedi.org

• OSD & remote control burn vcd/dvd from handycam

• ALSA 1.0.8, for better sound module support (specifically the Motif R and a number of USB keyboards)
• something similar to ltsp, easy configuration of remote X server-terminals architecture

  • Necessary kernel patch "OpenMosix" is not available for kernel versions above 2.4.x -martin

  • The FATX driver for Linux 2.6 is broken: serious Linux distributions for XBoxes must still use the 2.4 kernel. When they come out with Dynebolic 2, we'll lose XBox support for FATX formatted partitions (if the XBox has cromwell instead, you could wipe the drive clean and format it all as an ext3 filesystem).

• System to manage modules on a docked system. Have experimented with having a directory (park) to keep unwanted modules in (unneeded modules hog RAM). At the moement I have just used Midnight Commander to move modules between the modules & the park folders. Perhaps a nice frontend to manage parking & unparking modules with a reboot button as well? Ultimately the means to load/unload modules on a running sytem :0)

  • This is still in cvs, but already quite usable, GNU/Linux version will probably be in cvs for a long long while, so it would be kewl to include it anyway, oh and there's already a Debian package somewhere. Including it will be a great way to attract hurds of enthusiastic Mac OS X musicians

• Qsynth - frontend for fluidsynth. Compiles & runs on dyne with no added dependencies. Is small mature & stable.

• Muse - (same name as Jaromil's but a different project) an audio/midi sequencer. Great interface & really nice flexible mixer. Runs with no added dependencies. Handles soundfonts using fluidsynth. Slackware package worked great on dyne 2.4.2 [ http://www.muse-sequencer.org/ ] Have compiled & made a module for d:b so it works!
