dyne:bolic hardware compatibility page
by littlejohn (littlejohn@autistici.org)
The only active section now is the laptop one. The more contribute I receive, the more lines I add ;). Now this is a very raw page, the entry are just hand written, but as soon as I receive contributions (just write me an email) I'll create a database with a search engine. How to contribute If you want to contribute, first of all download and try dynebolic :-). If everything goes fine (which means you get audio, video and network connectivity), do:
$> lspci > forlidl-1.txt $> lspci -n > forlidl-2.txt
and send those files to me. If something goes wrong please report what happens (for example, the video flickers, or there's no audio output), and if you have another GNU/Linux distro working on your pc (ie, Debian, Red Hat, Mandrake, Suse, Slackware, and so on), do:
$> lspci > forlidl-1.txt $> lspci -n > forlidl-2.txt
and send those files to me with the report you wrote. If you have no GNU/Linux (poor you write me what's is into your pc, what brand/model it is, with the _maximum_ details you can. Laptops Working:
- Compaq Armada E500 (P3-500 processor)
- Compaq Armada 1590DT (P-166mmx processor. You need to upgrade the bios to make it boot from cd.)
- Acer Travelmate 200
